Assessment & Consultation
Privately Funded Assessments
Privately funded assessment with specific referral questions will be considered on a per hour basis at a charge of $190. per hour. These assessments can range from $5,700. to $7,600. depending on the referral questions. A good faith estimate of fees will be provided before scheduling any appointments. There are payment options available.
Publicly Funded Assessments
A parent of a student with a disability has the right to obtain an Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE) of their student at public expense if the parent disagrees with an evaluation completed by the school agency. Independent educational evaluation means an evaluation conducted by a qualified examiner who is not employed by the public agency responsible for the education of the child in question. An IEE is completed on a per hour basis at a charge of $190. per hour. These assessments can range from $5,700. to $7,600. This assessment occurs in all suspected areas of need and involves a record review, school observations, interviews of parent and staff, direct assessment, report writing and presentation of findings at a school team meeting.
Consultation
Consultative services with families are offered at $190. per hour. During this time, records can be reviewed and opinions can be shared orally or prepared in writing. This service may be appropriate for former clients or new clients looking for direction with a student’s educational career.
Consultative services with attorneys seeking expert witness services in preparation for administrative hearings is offered at $250. per hour. A retainer fee of $1,500. will be charged and applied to the final invoice.
